About the Project
Architectural projects often require large, highly durable components that must adhere to architectural standards. This project demanded the machining of a range of very long building mullions, where achieving and maintaining perfect dimensions across their entire length was the critical challenge.
Material Preparation
The initial operation involved machining the raw material to near-net shape. This step was critical for creating a stable foundation for the high-accuracy finishing work to follow.
Finish Machining
In the second operation, we utilised our large-scale CNC centres to perform the final finish machining. This step achieved the “perfect flatness” and all critical dimensions required by the architectural blueprints.
Final Verification
The third and final operation was a comprehensive quality verification. Every mullion was inspected along its entire length to confirm it met all flatness and dimensional standards before being cleared for delivery.
Delivering on the promise of architectural excellence
The successful completion of these long-format mullions showcases our specialised capability in large-scale architectural machining. Our meticulous process ensures that every component was delivered with the perfect flatness and conformity required for a high-end architectural installation.
